Starfall is one of the best sites out there for the littlest homeschoolers, in our family's opinion,. They have a large collection of learning activities for math, English, and music, along with seasonal activities. It has grown a lot over the years and now includes math and English up to grade five!
Well-known across the homeschool community, the Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool Curriculum is a solution for parents who would like to have a curriculum plan laid out for them which they can use online or offline. Written by a mom for her own children, the curriculum is 100% free and relies on freely available resources. In 2019, they added a super-helpful organizer called My EP Assignments. The site also includes placement tests to help you choose the best courses for your K-12 student's current level. After the preschool level, students will typically do Kinder Math, Kinder Handwriting, Sight Reading, and Phonics, to be well-prepared for first grade courses.
Ambleside Online provides Charlotte-Mason style guidelines for each academic year.
Year 0 is not a formal academic year, but rather refers to all of the years before formal academics begin in Year 1 (about age 6). Suggested activities for these early years focus on outdoor time, real tasks, and play-based learning.
Discovery K12 offers a traditional, non-Common Core, secular, homeschool curriculum. There are 180 days of complete, digital curriculum for pre-k to twelfth grade. The kindergarten level includes reading, language arts, math, history/social studies, science, and arts. Student accounts are free, while parent/teacher accounts are an optional upgrade that includes a grade book, attendance tracking, quiz/test scores, answer keys, reading log, scope & sequence of curriculum, assessment tests results, transcripts, certificates of completion, diplomas, and email support ($99.00 per family per year).
